Some jobs involve repetitive work. But the human body isn't a machine. It isn't meant to perform the same motions over and over again, day in, day out. And there are a number of motions that can cause injuries after they've been performed one too many times.

"Repetitive Stress Injuries" From Work
A repetitive stress injury is any injury that is caused by repeatedly performing the same motion for a long period of time. This can include injuries to the skeletal structure from standing all day long; it can include carpal tunnel syndrome for typists and machinists; in can also include injuries to the knee, shoulder and other joints as well as injuries to the neck and back.
Other work injuries are more closely related to the conditions in the work environment. For example, if you work in a noisy shop or factory, you could suffer hearing loss. Working with certain kinds of chemicals could cause lung disorders, blindness or nerve damage. Our office is experienced in handling all these varieties of work injuries.
